Cuba launches XIX International Wine Festival
At least 12 wineries from Europe and Latin America, are present at the XIX International Wine Festival of the Hotel Nacional de Cuba.
Rubén Ramos, vice president of the Chamber of Commerce, stressed the importance of the event for the Cuban tourist industry, especially if one takes into account the interest to promote that sector in the country.
Ramos added that this development necessarily implies the presence in the Cuban market of high quality wines that satisfy the demands of customers.
Many of the companies participating in the event are represented on the island, and others are interested in selling and exploring the possibilities of insertion in the nation, which expresses the relevance that has reached the International Wine Festival, he said.
The vice president of the Chamber of Commerce assured that the activities that are developed will allow national companies and visitors to evaluate the maturity that the wine sector in Cuba is reaching, at the service of the tourism industry. In the field of celebrations for its XXV anniversary, the company Havana Club International S.A. presents, officially in the Hotel Nacional de Cuba, products of the Campo Viejo brand. These are part of the beverage portfolio of the French company Pernod Ricard, Cuba’s partner in the marketing of the Havana Club that is produced on the island.
The wines that are exposed are Campo Viejo Tempranillo and Cava Brut Reserva-both available in the domestic market-, as well as the Reserve and Gran Reserva, which will begin to be commercialized next December.
According to a press release from the company, this range exhibits vibrant and expressive Rioja wine styles to satisfy the most demanding palates and that makes them perfect options for appetizers, accompanying meals and pairing with Habanos.
The XIX International Wine Festival will be held in this capital until Friday, October 5, an opportunity for producers, marketers, specialists, distributors, vendors and consumers to fraternize, present their new products and flavors to the market and show the benefits of each product.
