Departure for the town of San Diego de los Baños, in Pinar del Río, Cuba’s westernmost province. Two nights accommodation at one of the Mac hotels. During the stay you will visit La Güira Birding Area.
Departure for Ciénaga de Zapata (Zapata Swamp), Matanzas. Three nights accommodation at one of the Mac hotels, located in the natural environment of Bahía de Cochinos (Bay of Pigs). Although the accommodation options are two-star hotels, they have one of the best dive sites in the country. For bird lovers, the main activity will be the visit to the birding areas: Las Salinas, Bermejas.
The thematic tour continues to the Protected National Park Topes de Collantes, in Sancti Spíritus, a Cuban province founded in June 1514 by the Spanish conquistador Diego Velázquez. The Great Stone is a huge block of volcanic rock and measures 51 meters long, 25 high and 30 wide. It is estimated to weight over 63,000 tons. It is possible to climb the 459 stone steps to the top of the rock and stand at 1,234 meters above sea level to enjoy a panoramic view. It is said that on a dark night it is possible to see the lights of Jamaica. And on clear days and good visibility you can see both coasts of the eastern region.
