Get to know Cuba in two weeks. Join us in this bicycle tour through the provinces of Havana, Pinar del Río and Matanzas and discover its main sites of historical interest. It is an ideal option to know many of the bounties of the Larger Island of the Antilles. Starting from the cultural life and history of the capital, the incomparable greenery and natural wealth of Cuban western extreme to the magical city known as the Pearl of the South.

DAY 1

Welcome to Havana

Welcome at the José Martí International Airport in Havana and transfer to the hotel previously booked in your Mactourism tour package.

DAYS 2-3

Havana – Las Terrazas/Soroa (95 km) Departure for Las Terrazas

Departure from the capital to Las Terrazas Community in Pinar del Río. This 95-kilometer trip will conclude with the arrival at the accommodation coordinated in advance according to the budget.

In Las Terrazas you can enjoy local attractions such as the House of the Cuban musician Polo Montañez, “El Guajiro Natural”, the Community Square, the Moka Alley, among other points of interest.

DAY 4

San Diego de los Baños – Vinales (70 km)

On this bicycle trip of about 70 kilometers, travelers will get to know other wonders of Pinar del Río, including the La Güira Natural Park. Later you will spend the night in one of the accommodation options that best suits your needs.

DAY 5

Viñales: Available day to visit Viñales Valley and its surroundings.

In this western tourist town the tour includes a stop at Los Jazmines Viewpoint, a descent to the town of Viñales, a visit to the Prehistory Mural and the Palenque de los Cimarrones (a refuge for runaway slaves), and a visit to the Cueva del Indio, a wonderful site located on the banks of the San Vicente River. This cave provided shelter to the first inhabitants of these lands. You can see cave drawings and enjoy the local nature and beauty of the landscape with the formation of stalactites and stalagmites.

DAY 6

Viñales – Havana (210 km)

Departure from Viñales (Pinar del Rio) to the booked hotel in Havana. The rest of the day is free to rest at ease.

DAY 7

Havana – Remedios (350 km)

In the morning departure from Havana to the town of Remedios in the province of Villa Clara. This is one of the oldest Spanish villages in Cuba. Several examples of Spanish architecture of the seventeenth century in good conditions can be found. In 1980 its historic center was declared National Monument.

DAY 8

Remedios: Tour of the Main Square (La Plaza Mayor) and the San Juan Bautista Church

This day the main attraction will be the visit to the Main Square of Remedios and the San Juan Bautista Main Church which has 13 beautiful gold-plated altars. These altars and other works of art remained camouflaged under layers of paint for several centuries, to prevent looting by pirates. They were discovered between 1944 and 1954 when the Cuban philanthropist Eutimio Falla Bonet paid for the reconstruction of the church.

DAY 9

Remedios – Santa Clara (50 km)

Departure from Remedios to the city of Santa Clara. Visitors will spend the night in one of the previously chosen accommodation options.

Santa Clara city tour main attractions are the Boulevard, the Ernesto Che Guevara Memorial and, the La Caridad Theater, a site of cultural interest.

Departure for Remedios, through Ciego de Ávila. City tour of Santa Clara and its main attractions such as the Revolution Square and the Ernesto Che Guevara Mausoleum.

DAY 10

Santa Clara – Hanabanilla (60 km)

Departure from Santa Clara to the town of Hanabanilla. Visitors will spend the night in one of the previously chosen accommodation options that best suits their needs.

DAY 11

Hanabanilla – Topes – Trinidad (100 km)

Visit to the Hanabanilla Dam. Trip to the Trinidad accommodation in the Province of Sancti Spíritus.

The waterfalls known as Saltos del Hanabanilla or Hanabanilla’s waterfalls are the highest in Cuba, located at 364 meters above sea level. To the south there is a Protected Area Natural Park that houses several endemic species such as tocororos (the Cuban Trogon), parrots, woodpeckers and ducks.

DAY 12

Trinidad (50 km)

This day is scheduled to visit Trinidad, a city in the province of Santi Spíritus.

Trinidad was the third Village founded by the Spanish Crown on the island. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988, Trinidad is currently one of the best preserved colonial cities in Latin America.

We will dedicate the day to the tour of this beautiful city of Sancti Spiritus. We will visit the Romantic Museum, El Cubano Park and the popular Bar La Canchánchara for tasting a typical cocktail from Trinidad, consisting of honey, lemon and “aguardiente” that was created during the 10 Years War of Cuban independence.

DAY 13

Trinidad – Cienfuegos (85 km)

Departure from Trinidad to Cienfuegos, the city known as The Pearl of the South. This tour includes a visit to downtown, the Martí Park, the peninsula of Punta Gorda and the Botanical Garden.

Visitors will stay in Cienfuegos at the hotel of their choice.

DAY 14

Cienfuegos – Havana (260 km)

In the morning departure from Cienfuegos to Havana by the National Highway. Arrival at the accommodation/hotel in the afternoon.

This trip includes a visit to the Railway Station of the emblematic “Train of Hershey”. Built by The Hershey Company to transport sugar to the port of Havana, this electric train is the only one of its kind in the country.

DAY 15

Havana

Transfer from the hotel to the José Martí International Airport.
